The Support Staff member will be accountable to the FOH Management team and will carry out a variety of duties that help maintain the restaurant’s standards and enhance guest satisfaction. This role requires a personable, presentable individual who has the ability to multi-task and remain composed under pressure while maintaining a positive and friendly demeanor. Essential functions of the position include greeting guests promptly with a warm smile and courteous attitude, assisting with menu and flatware distribution, handling phone calls, managing to-go orders and payments, as well as accepting and managing reservations to prevent overbooking. Support Staff also help support the FOH team by performing necessary side work such as stocking supplies, cleaning, resetting tables, assisting servers with beverage refills, and aiding expos in food delivery. They are expected to uphold all safety and sanitation policies, ensuring a clean and safe work environment at all times.
The role involves interaction not only with guests but also with fellow team members, requiring excellent communication skills and an ability to adapt in various situations to meet the needs of the restaurant. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain neat, clean, and well groomed appearance
- Ability to obtain required government licenses or certificates
- Willingness to comply with company rules and policies
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- High school education is preferred
- Ability to obtain any government required licenses or certificates
- Local health department certification and state liquor control board certificate
- CPR certification and/or first aid training preferred
- Effective communication skills
- Personable and pleasant demeanor
- Ability to multi-task
- Knowledge of food and beverage menu items
Job Duties

- Distributing menus and flatware
- Answering phones
- Taking to go orders and handling payments accurately
- Accepting reservations and managing them in order to prevent over booking of the restaurant
- Ensuring host area is kept neat, clean and organized as well as stocked with essential FOH items
- Assisting expos in delivering of food to guests
- Assisting bussers with pre-bussing, bussing and resetting of tables
- Assisting servers with refilling of beverages
- Completes tasks for each shift according to the needs of the restaurant
