The role of a Guest Service Expert at Marriott Marquis Houston offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the hotel’s mission of delivering memorable and unique experiences to every guest. This is a full-time, non-management Food and Beverage & Culinary position based on-site, involving an open availability schedule to support various shifts. The role is designed for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and eager to engage in multiple facets of guest service, ranging from setting tables, assisting in kitchen operations, maintaining work areas, to replenishing supplies. The Guest Service Expert’s responsibilities extend beyond serving food and beverages — they actively participate in creating an atmosphere where guests feel valued and well-cared for throughout their visit.

Performing this role successfully requires physical stamina and professionalism, as the position involves continuous movement including standing, walking, and navigating varied floor surfaces. The Guest Service Expert must handle tasks that include lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds, reaching high places, bending, twisting, and adopting various postures to ensure that all service areas are well-maintained and that guest needs are anticipated and met promptly. Additionally, adherence to company policies, safety protocols, quality standards, and maintaining a polished personal appearance and communication style are essential aspects of the role.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent such as a General Educational Development (GED) certificate, with previous experience in a food service or hospitality environment preferred but not mandatory.
