Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum six months experience in warehouse or storeroom operations
  • previous customer service experience preferred
  • knowledge of materials management handling equipment, automatic inventory management systems, hand-held computers, bar code scanners, calculators, computers
  • ability to safely use recycling compactors
  • ability to work full-time night shift including rotating weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • facilitate the timely and accurate movement, delivery, and stocking of supplies and equipment throughout the hospital campus and designated off-site areas
  • monitor and maintain inventory levels for remote unit, departmental stocking, and storeroom locations
  • perform inventories in remote storeroom locations according to schedules
  • deliver patient care supplies
  • retrieve, clean, disinfect, and provide patient care equipment
  • safely transport supplies and equipment using various transport carts and equipment
  • maintain cleanliness and organization in work and departmental areas
  • collect and dispose of waste materials properly
  • maintain a professional appearance and conduct
  • use appropriate hand hygiene
  • communicate effectively and respectfully with customers, coworkers, and management
  • report customer complaints and materials management issues to management
  • provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff
  • promote a team-oriented, respectful, and patient-centered supply chain environment
