The company is committed to high standards of quality, sustainability, and cutting-edge technology, striving to deliver exceptional value to its customers and stakeholders globally. Thyssenkrupp’s business model emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement, and adapting to dynamic market conditions, ensuring they remain competitive within their industries.

The opportunity available is for the role of a Supply Chain Planner based in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, with responsibilities stretching to the sales offices in Hoffman Estates, Dallas, and partial support for Bolingbrook, Illinois. This permanent, full-time role offers a compelling salary range of $80,000 to $100,000, complemented by an annual bonus potential of $10,000. Candidates must comply with U.S. ITAR regulations and US citizenship or equivalent legal clearance is mandatory, with no sponsorship available.

This newly created position aims to establish a strategic planner who can influence core supply chain operations. The Supply Chain Planner will serve as a pivotal link between sales, purchasing, and operational teams, synthesizing diverse inputs from market intelligence, sales goals, and historical shipment data into an actionable demand plan. They will be instrumental in managing supply planning parameters, ensuring the bill-of-materials and SKU parameters are accurate and aligned with business objectives. The role involves extensive collaboration to build consensus-driven demand forecasts, assimilating macroeconomic factors to fine-tune planning decisions, and supporting customer-specific supply chain activities that guarantee timely and efficient delivery.

The planner will play an essential role in optimizing safety stock levels and forecasting Demand Forecast Units (DFUs) to prevent stockouts or excess inventory, directly contributing to business continuity and customer satisfaction. This position offers substantial travel (up to 50%), fostering close connections with both internal operations and client-facing teams, which helps in maintaining a deep understanding of supply chain intricacies and operational challenges. The role is dynamic and highly visible to leadership, providing an excellent platform for professional growth, impactful contributions, and involvement in shaping processes that drive the company’s supply chain excellence.

This is a perfect role for candidates looking to leverage a background in business, supply chain, economics, or data analytics along with strong communication and negotiation expertise. The planner will be a critical player in guiding the enterprise towards smarter, responsive, and resilient supply chain systems. The company's benefits package adds to the appeal, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, voluntary wellness programs, 401(k) or RRSP with company match, tuition reimbursement, and paid vacation and holidays, underscoring a commitment to employee well-being and development.
