Job Description

thyssenkrupp is a multinational conglomerate with a strong presence in the engineering and steel production sectors, renowned for delivering innovative and high-quality solutions globally. The company specializes in industrial engineering, materials services, and automotive technologies, serving a diverse range of industries including automotive, aerospace, construction, and infrastructure. With its commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainability, thyssenkrupp operates numerous facilities across the United States and around the world, employing thousands of professionals dedicated to advancing industrial solutions and maintaining customer satisfaction.

The Supply Chain Planner position is a key role within thyssenkrupp's eastern region operations, based in Acworth, GA; Cleveland, OH; Dayton, OH; or Wallingford, CT. This role reports to the supply chain management team and entails translating sales targets, market intelligence, historical shipment trends, and product knowledge into actionable, executable demand plans that align with the company’s business goals. The planner will work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, purchasing, and operations to build consensus around demand planning, ensuring supply meets customer requirements while optimizing inventory levels. This is a newly created position intended to increase operational efficiency and influence supply chain processes positively.

The Supply Chain Planner will incorporate macroeconomic factors into their planning strategies and manage critical supply chain elements such as safety stock evaluation, bill-of-materials (BOM) management, and demand forecasting units (DFUs). This role carries high visibility within the organization, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute impactful ideas, shape internal processes, and collaborate directly with leadership and cross-functional teams. There is a travel requirement of approximately 10 percent within the region to maintain close alignment with operations and customer sites.

This position offers a competitive salary range between $80,000 and $100,000 annual base pay, with an additional annual bonus potential of $10,000. Candidates must comply with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), requiring U.S. persons for eligibility, and sponsorship is not offered. The role demands flexibility to respond to urgent operational needs beyond standard working hours when necessary.

Choosing this role means becoming part of a reputable global corporation with a strategic focus on supply chain excellence. The planner will have the chance to lead demand planning activities, support customer-specific supply chain requirements, and maintain optimum planning parameters to meet dynamic business and market conditions. The company places a strong emphasis on continuous improvement, professional growth, and fostering collaboration across departments. If you are a data-driven, analytical professional with a passion for supply chain management, this role offers a rewarding career path with significant growth potential inside a forward-thinking organization. Thyssenkrupp values innovation, accountability, and resilience, making this a great match for professionals seeking to make a substantial impact in supply chain operations.
