Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of transportation management experience in the food distribution industry
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations
  • Ability to work varied and flexible schedules
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Proficient English reading, writing, and comprehension skills
  • Preferred experience with AS/400 and truck routing software

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least 1 year of transportation management experience in the food distribution industry
  • Knowledgeable about DOT regulations
  • AS/400 experience preferred
  • Truck routing software experience preferred
  • Ability to work a varied and flexible schedule
  • Basic competency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient for job safety and effectiveness

Job Duties

  • Achieve safe, timely, and accurate deliveries to customers via a thorough working knowledge of multi-stop routing systems and dispatch procedures
  • Review driver logs, hours of service, and other DOT requirements to ensure compliance with all state, local and federal regulations
  • Coordinate activities with other distribution center departments to ensure that accurate and timely deliveries occur
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the position supervisor, including special projects
  • Oversee daily operations of assigned drivers to maintain productivity and efficiency
  • Enforce safety standards and company policies among team members
  • Communicate effectively with drivers and cross-functional teams to resolve issues promptly
