Job Description
CHRISTUS Health is a leading healthcare organization committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care through a network of hospitals, clinics, and specialized care centers across various regions. As a faith-based, not-for-profit entity, CHRISTUS Health emphasizes a mission-driven approach to healthcare, focusing on improving the health and well-being of the communities it serves. Known for its commitment to innovation, patient-centered care, and community outreach, CHRISTUS Health strives to foster an environment where clinical excellence and compassionate care coexist to provide effective medical services.
The position of RN Supervisor within CHRISTUS Health plays a critical leadership role in nursing operations, aimed at ensuring the delivery of safe, cost-effective, and high-quality patient care. This full-time role, scheduled from 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday, requires the RN Supervisor to oversee nursing activities on a 24-hour basis, collaborating closely with clinical and ancillary departments to achieve strategic and operational goals. The role demands a hands-on leadership approach where the supervisor assists the Director in analyzing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating nursing processes and programs that bolster the efficiency and quality of services.
The RN Supervisor is entrusted with monitoring patient outcomes, guaranteeing that nursing standards and policies are uniformly applied, and fostering an environment conducive to both staff development and exceptional patient care. This leadership position focuses on operational, financial, and clinical components of nursing care, continually driving improvement to meet established quality and safety measures along with community values. By managing resources effectively and providing timely feedback and support, the RN Supervisor plays a pivotal role in sustaining performance standards and enhancing overall associate satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will be equipped with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and hold a valid RN license, preferably licensed either in the state of employment or through a compact agreement. The role requires at least two years of clinical patient care experience in a relevant healthcare setting and preferably some prior experience in healthcare management or supervisory roles. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory as part of compliance with CHRISTUS Health policies. The role also involves active participation in the continuous education and certification verification process to uphold the highest standards of nursing practice.
This position requires relocation and is suited for individuals who are enthusiastic about leadership within a dynamic healthcare setting and committed to supporting both patient care excellence and professional development among nursing staff. The RN Supervisor will lead efforts that align with the organization’s strategic business plans and demonstrate leadership competencies across various levels. Overall, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to influence the quality of care delivery, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and contribute meaningfully to the mission of CHRISTUS Health.
