Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or additional two years of training/experience in lieu of degree
- must be able to clear pre-employment DOT testing and background check
- ability to complete Alaska Airlines' initial training/IOE, hold FAA flight attendant certificate and remain qualified
- able to reach 80 vertical inches standing or on toes
- able to swim 90 feet assisted with a life vest
- must be able to lift up to 35lbs
- meet grooming, uniform and appearance standards
- possess and/or obtain current passport with unrestricted travel
- able to fly unrestricted in and out of all countries where Alaska Airlines operates
- ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- ability to interpret written, oral and schedule instructions
- proven problem solving skills and ability to deal with ambiguity with effective solutions
- proven coaching and mentoring skills with frontline employees
- ability to work independently and as a team player
- able to stand for long periods
- willingness to fly as crew member as needed including irregular operations
- willingness to accept shift work including weekends, holidays and on-call
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum age of 21
- authorized to work in the U.S.
Job Qualifications
- 3 years of customer service experience
- 2 years of airline or leadership experience
- ability to complete Alaska Airlines' initial training/IOE, hold FAA flight attendant certificate, and remain qualified through recurrent training
- able to reach 80 vertical inches while wearing shoes and/or standing on toes
- able to swim 90 feet assisted with a life vest
- able to lift up to 35lbs
- able to meet company's grooming, uniform and appearance standards
- possess and/or obtain a current passport with unlimited access in and out of the United States
- ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and schedule forms
- proven ability to problem solve and deal with ambiguity, while offering effective solutions in the moment
- proven ability to coach, mentor, and lead frontline employees in an engaging, positive, and constructive manner
- ability to work independently and as a team player
- able to demonstrate the physical ability to be on feet for long periods
- ability and willingness to fly as a crew member as needed
- ability and willingness to accept shift work including weekends, holidays, after hours, and on-call
- high school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties
- Supervise and direct work of all flight attendants based and traveling through the hub to ensure safe and efficient operations are met
- demonstrate commitment to Alaska's flight attendants by providing superior customer service, uphold professional standards, and perform their job defined by company policy and the Flight Attendant Manual
- supervise the execution of, and on-going adherence to, new or existing policies and procedures by ensuring flight attendants are up to date on required training, bulletins, company updates, and required tools
- drive engagement initiatives to create a culture based on the Care Framework
- coach and mentor flight attendants through effective and ongoing feedback
- sustain flight attendant appreciation and recognition initiatives
- develop people through effective performance management and ongoing feedback focusing on coaching in the moment and in areas such as attendance, appearance standards, manual compliance, delays, on-the-job injuries, customer complaints, and employee-to-employee conflict
- investigate and report delays and irregular flight activity and propose solutions in how to avoid such delays in the future
- create a culture of accountability by see it, own it, and change it
- influence team culture through positive actions, presence, and reinforcement of behaviors
- engage with flight attendants at outbound and inbound flights
- take initiative to address problems and implement improvements
- lead and participate in additional project work
- liaise with other departments or the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) when specific flight attendant information as requested
- perform other duties as assigned
