Novolex is a leading manufacturer specializing in food, beverage, and specialty packaging solutions that support a variety of industries including foodservice, restaurant delivery, carryout, food processing, grocery, retail, and industrial sectors. The company has extensive manufacturing and sourcing expertise, covering a broad range of substrates such as resin, paper, molded fiber, aluminum, and more. With an impressive portfolio, Novolex offers customers a diverse selection of stock and customized packaging solutions encompassing 120 product categories, 250 brands, and over 39,000 stock-keeping units (SKUs). This robust product range exemplifies Novolex's commitment to meeting the varied needs of its global clientele by delivering high-quality, innovative packaging options.
Novolex is not only dedicated to providing superior products but also to advancing sustainability throughout its operations. The company’s sustainability vision is anchored in three key pillars: products, operations, and people. These pillars guide the company toward a sustainable future by integrating eco-friendly practices and corporate responsibility into every facet of its business. Novolex actively pursues ambitious sustainability goals and implements broad-ranging initiatives, thereby reinforcing its leadership in environmentally conscious manufacturing.
The Production Supervisor role based in Norcross, GA, is a critical leadership position responsible for the direct oversight, supervision, training, development, and support of production and material handling employees on the 3rd shift (11pm - 7am, Sunday through Thursday). This role demands a hands-on approach with substantial time spent on the plant floor working closely with shift employees, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement in production. The Production Supervisor will also indirectly oversee shift maintenance support staff.
Key responsibilities include ensuring that employees follow safety protocols and comply with safe work practices, conducting training, coaching for performance improvement, troubleshooting operational issues, interpreting work orders, and leading problem-resolution efforts. The supervisor plays a vital role in managing labor deployment to meet production schedules while maintaining quality standards and supporting waste elimination efforts. Moreover, this role involves maintaining accurate production documentation, coordinating with human resources, and fostering effective communication between shifts.
Ideal candidates for the Production Supervisor position should have at least five years of successful production supervision experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment, and be proficient in Microsoft Office with an aptitude for learning new systems. While a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management or a related field is preferred, it is not a strict requirement. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work independently, solve problems resourcefully, communicate effectively, and build productive relationships across all organizational levels.
Novolex offers a competitive compensation package with a salary range estimated between $66,000 and $75,000, inclusive of bonuses and benefits. The company emphasizes employee well-being and safety, providing comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision insurance, and wellness resources focusing on mental, physical, and financial health. Career development is supported through extensive training programs, advanced education opportunities, and a tuition reimbursement program to foster continuous growth and professional advancement.
Committed to diversity and equal employment opportunity, Novolex ensures non-discriminatory practices in every aspect of employment and offers accommodations for applicants with disabilities. The company also prioritizes community engagement through initiatives that support sustainability and address food and hunger needs locally. This Production Supervisor role presents a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking industry leader dedicated to innovation, sustainability, and employee development.
