Job Description
WSC is a reputable company known for its dedication to high standards of operational excellence and workforce management within the facility operations sector. As an equal opportunity employer, WSC prioritizes inclusivity and ensures all qualified applicants are considered without discrimination based on race, religion, gender, or disability status. The company is committed to maintaining a safe and efficient workplace environment, adhering strictly to government-mandated policies and contractual obligations. WSC operates in an environment where employee safety is paramount, taking into account various physical and operational demands. The organization thrives on fostering leadership, communication, stress management, project management, and personal effectiveness among its team to drive results and ensure compliance with established standards and client expectations.
This full-time position, requiring a 40-hour work week with possible occasional evening or weekend hours, serves as a Facility Operations Supervisor with extensive responsibility for overseeing daily operations, safety adherence, quality control compliance, and staff management. The role demands a hands-on approach to coordinating activities, conducting training, and ensuring all personnel meet the prescribed standards outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS), Statement of Work (SOW), and Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). The Facility Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in fiscal monitoring, safety enforcement, and maintaining high-quality customer service. The job involves regular interaction with government representatives during contract inspections and reviews, reflecting the importance of compliance and operational integrity. Physical requirements of the position include sitting, standing, walking, climbing, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, which means the candidate must be physically capable of meeting these demands.
The role further involves ensuring that employees receive continuous education and corrective actions when necessary, maintaining a clean and hazard-free workplace, and supporting a culture where safety is embedded in every task. Candidates with a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of two years of supervisory and facility operations experience are encouraged to apply. Preferred qualifications include an Associate's degree in Business Management and experience driving a one and a half-ton truck. The position also requires a valid driver’s license with an acceptable insurability certificate under the corporate auto policy, along with clearances such as drug screening, background checks per WSC and specific contract requirements like NACI, TxDOT, or DPS.
WSC values leadership and project management competencies and expects its supervisors to perform under stress while maintaining composure and effective communication. This position promises an engaging and dynamic work environment characterized by operational challenges and opportunities for professional growth within a committed and supportive team structure.
