Job Description

WSC is a reputable organization committed to providing high-quality operational facility management services. With a strong emphasis on safety, customer service, and operational excellence, WSC ensures that all projects and contracts are executed efficiently and within required standards. The company fosters an inclusive work environment and encourages diversity, promoting equal employment opportunities for all qualified applicants regardless of race, religion, gender identity, or disability status. As an equal opportunity employer, WSC maintains strict adherence to employment laws and regulations, ensuring a respectful and professional work atmosphere.

The current role available is for a part-time supervisory position responsible for overseeing and managing the operations of an assigned facility. This role requires a hands-on leader who ensures that all Performance Work Statements (PWS) and Statements of Work (SOW) requirements are fully met. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining operational safety, cleanliness, and training of staff on safety procedures as well as contract-specific protocols like the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and personnel policies. The supervisor will verify that the facility is always prepared for service and ensure that a high standard of customer service is consistently upheld. Responsibilities include scheduling and training staff, monitoring safety compliance related to personnel and equipment, ordering and managing facility supplies, and preparing accurate reports and correspondence related to operational activities.

The position demands supervision and oversight of facility staff, including performance management and disciplinary actions as necessary. The work environment often involves exposure to extreme conditions such as varied temperatures, moving mechanical parts, and loud noise levels, making adherence to safety standards paramount. Physical demands include a variety of activities ranging from sitting and walking to lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally. This part-time role typically requires 25 hours of work per week, with occasional evening and weekend hours. Local travel during business hours is expected, with some out-of-area and overnight travel for conferences.

WSC seeks candidates with a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, with preference given to those holding an associate degree in Business Management. Supervisory experience and a basic understanding of relevant equipment utilized under the contracts are highly valued. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license with insurability per corporate auto policy and must successfully pass drug screenings and background checks, including those related to WSC and contract requirements like NACI, TxDOT, or DPS. The role demands strong leadership, effective communication, stress management, personal credibility, and a results-driven mindset to ensure successful facility operations and staff management.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a part-time supervisory role within a dynamic operational environment, offering both the chance to develop leadership skills and contribute to consistent operational success. WSC supports workplace diversity and provides reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions effectively. Candidates selected for this position will be part of an organization dedicated to fairness, safety, and excellence in service delivery.
