This role is a full-time Environmental Services Supervisor position within a facility managed by UHS. The Environmental Services Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in the execution and management of environmental services programs and procedures within the healthcare setting. This role requires supervising and motivating environmental services staff to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are consistently met throughout the hospital or healthcare premises. Responsibilities include overseeing daily cleaning schedules, conducting regular employee training sessions, inspecting equipment, monitoring supply inventories, and maintaining excellent public relations with patients, residents, and other hospital staff.

The successful candidate will effectively manage environmental services personnel by promoting adherence to quality standards and company policies. This position requires strong organizational skills to coordinate work schedules, perform administrative tasks, prepare inspection reports, and handle staffing needs, such as interviewing, counseling, and recommending employee terminations if necessary. The Environmental Services Supervisor will step in for the Manager in their absence and demonstrate a commitment to upholding compliance guidelines and internal code of conduct. This role demands excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with different departments to contribute to a safe, healthy, and welcoming hospital environment.

Ideal applicants are those with prior supervisory experience, preferably within healthcare or a related field, and a demonstrated ability to use tools and supplies effectively following initial training. Candidates must speak and understand English adequately for safe and efficient job performance. Additionally, the position requires someone with a strong ethical foundation who strictly adheres to compliance programs and promptly addresses issues by reporting them to the Compliance Officer.
