Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in aviation, management, business or related field preferred
- Two years of Flight Ops Training Scheduling or Crew Scheduling experience preferred
- Must demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in Flight Ops Training Scheduling including SABRE systems (CrewTrac/CrewQual)
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure during irregular operations
- Preferred experience in MINT
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations
- Ability to maintain professional telephone and in person etiquette
- Developed communication and training skills
- Ability to interact with a diverse work group professionally
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in aviation, management, business or related field preferred
- Combination of education and work experience considered in lieu of degree
- Two years of Flight Ops Training Scheduling or Crew Scheduling experience preferred
- Aviation course work highly preferred
- Must demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in all areas of Flight Ops Training Scheduling including SABRE systems (CrewTrac/CrewQual), attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure during any irregular operation
- Preferred experience in MINT
- Excellent working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies & procedures and Pilot CBA
- Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of Flight Ops Training Scheduling
- Ability to maintain professional telephone and in person etiquette at all times
- Developed communication and training skills
- Ability to interact professionally with a diverse work group
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure
Job Duties
- Ensure that all Pilots remain current in their qualifications including Line Pilots, Check Airmen and Instructors
- Act as Coordinator to maintain surveillance of qualifications and schedule Pilots for training as necessary according to their contractual restrictions and governmental requirements
- Schedule and maintain records of Operating Experience (OE) for New Hire and Upgrade Pilots
- Identify opportunities for process/policy improvement
- Determine and pursue action essential to affecting change and a desired outcome
- Provide troubleshooting assistance and training support to Crew Schedulers
- Assume overall responsibility for Flight Ops Training Scheduling operation in the absence of FOTS management
- Coordinate with Ground Training, Standards, Crew Scheduling and other departments as necessary to provide operational and administrative support
- Provide counseling and ongoing training to Coordinators to ensure continuous growth
- Check SIM schedule daily for openings and fill accordingly
- Maintain the reschedule list and ensure Pilots are being reassigned to training in a timely manner
- Coordinate LOA returns, maintain proper documentation of each LOA return and verify all training has been completed before the Pilot is able to be released to the line
- Process Monthly Opentime for Instructors
- Maintain user access and security compliance for SABRE Products (CrewTrac/CrewQual)
- Work to resolve scheduling discrepancies and crewmember complaints elevated from Crew Schedulers
- Work with FOTS Manager to ensure adequate staffing levels for each day for Coordinator desk from the hours of 0800-2000
- Anticipate and provide additional staffing during peak seasons of training or other circumstances that require additional support
- Assume management responsibility in the absence of the Manager, Flight Ops Training Scheduling
- Assists in leading the team of Flight Ops Training Coordinators, develops employees and encourages positive employee engagement
