Job Duties
- Manage and coordinate all activities for the yard
- supervise all technicians
- work with operations coordinator and routers to coordinate routes, pick-ups, and deliveries to ensure the best routing efficiencies
- analyze and report on operational activities including routing efficiency, weekly pick-ups versus deliveries, labor and overtime, fuel consumption, and quality of customer care
- work directly with other departments to ensure excellent communication within the division and resolve customer service and other issues
- coordinate asset transfers with operations supervisors at other yards when necessary
- maintain proper staffing levels to meet and exceed customer and branch needs
- assist operations manager with coordinating logistics for special events and participate in special events
- review all paperwork from drivers for completion and accuracy including manifests, P&D tickets, route sheets, DVIRs, etc.
- review and approve Time Saver punches prior to payroll processing and time off request forms based on operational necessity
- manage fleet DOT administration including log books and record maintenance
- administer the company's safety program for drivers and coordinate safety training with Safety and HR
- perform employee development and conduct periodic performance reviews
- operate a variety of company vehicles
- perform other duties as assigned
