Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as logistics supply chain management or international business
- at least five years of experience in customs operations or customs brokerage with a minimum of two years in a supervisory role
- knowledge of customs regulations laws and procedures
- experience working with customs officials brokers and other stakeholders
- strong understanding of import and export processes and documentation requirements
- excellent leadership and management skills
- strong attention to detail and ability to analyze and interpret complex data
- excellent communication and customer service skills
- ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Job Qualifications

- additional certification in customs or logistics is a plus
- at least five years of experience in customs operations or customs brokerage with a minimum of two years in a supervisory role
- knowledge of customs regulations laws and procedures
- experience working with customs officials brokers and other stakeholders
- strong understanding of import and export processes and documentation requirements
- excellent leadership and management skills

- familiarity with trade agreements such as NAFTA CAFTA and TPP
- experience working with the Automated Commercial Environment system
- experience with cross-functional teams in a global environment
- fluent in English oral and written
- proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- experience with customs-related software and systems such as ACE and CustomsLink is a plus
Job Duties
- Oversee the customs operations of the company ensuring compliance with customs regulations and procedures
- lead and manage a team of customs specialists providing guidance support and training as needed
- process customs entries and clearances for import and export shipments
- monitor and manage the timely processing of customs entries to avoid any delays or penalties
- develop and maintain relationships with customs officials brokers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient customs clearance processes
- ensure all customs-related documentation is accurate complete and in compliance with regulations
- provide exceptional customer service to clients addressing any customs-related concerns or questions they may have
- conduct regular audits of customs operations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary
- stay up-to-date with changes to customs regulations laws and procedures and ensure that the team is informed and trained accordingly
