This position is critical to ensuring that all customs operations comply with international and regional customs regulations and laws. As the leader of a team of customs specialists, the Supervisor, Customs manages customs entries for import and export shipments and maintains effective relationships with customs officials, brokers, and other vital stakeholders. This role demands excellent leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of customs procedures to prevent delays and penalties that could affect the supply chain. The incumbent will conduct audits of customs processes, ensure accurate customs documentation, and stay informed about regulations changes to keep the team well-trained and compliant. - Bachelor's degree in a related field such as logistics, supply chain management, or international business
- At least 5 years of experience in customs operations or customs brokerage, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role
- Knowledge of customs regulations, laws, and procedures
- Experience working with customs officials, brokers, and other stakeholders
- Strong understanding of import and export processes and documentation requirements
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze and interpret complex data
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Job Qualifications
