Job Requirements
- Minimum age 18
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Possess a valid, unexpired and unsuspended state driver's license
- Must be able to carry, bend, lift and turn with bags weighing up to 75 lbs
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, holidays, weekends, days off, with reliable attendance
- Flexibility to work additional hours on short notice due to operational needs
- Able to perform duties in various weather conditions and time constraints
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand English
- Legal right to work in the United States
- Pass fingerprint based criminal background check for airport security access
- Obtain necessary airport security badges and clear airport requirements
- Pass US Postal Service background check if handling US mail
- Comply with Department of Transportation regulations regarding drug and alcohol tests
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience preferred
- Previous airline experience including knowledge of ticketing systems or ramp operations preferred
- Ability to demonstrate leadership, initiative, and judgment
- Comfortable organizing work groups and handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand English
- Legal right to work in the United States
Job Duties
- Coordinate the day-to-day station operations by leading and organizing the activities of agents and clerks to ensure a safe working environment and on-time dependability
- Ensure adequate operational coverage
- responsible for scheduling and manpower utilization
- Maintain a safe, dependable and consistent operation
- Conduct agent observations
- Schedule and administer local training including new hire training
- Investigate and resolve operational issues as well as customer service issues
- Adhere to uniform policy and wear company uniforms as provided
- Participate on operational conference calls, station audits and prepare various reports
- Maintain records such as time and attendance, personnel files and performance
- Perform Station Agent duties as required including greeting passengers, ticketing, rebooking itineraries, baggage handling, and guiding aircraft
- Operate ground equipment like tugs, belt loaders, and bag carts
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a safe and on-time departure
- May clean aircraft interiors and service lavatories
- Work in the Baggage Service Office tracking baggage location
