Job Requirements

Minimum age 18
high school diploma or GED equivalent
possess a valid, unexpired and unsuspended state driver's license
able to carry, bend, lift and turn with bags weighing up to 75 lbs
ability to work rotating shifts including nights, holidays, weekends and days off
must be able to report to work regularly and timely
flexibility to work extra hours on short notice due to operational necessity
able to perform duties in various weather conditions and time constraints
ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently
possess legal right to work in the United States
tattoos, body piercings and tongue rings must not be visible in uniform
candidates must pass fingerprint-based criminal background check for airport security access
able to secure airport and/or customs security badges as required
must pass postal service background check if handling US mail
subject to Department of Transportation drug and alcohol testing requirements

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent
minimum one year of customer service experience preferred
some locations may desire previous airline experience including working knowledge of an airline's ticketing system and ramp operations
ability to demonstrate leadership, initiative, and judgment
self-motivated and safety conscious
comfortable organizing work groups and handling multiple priorities
ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently
possess valid state driver's license without suspension

Job Duties

Coordinate the day-to-day station operations by leading and organizing the activities of agents and clerks to ensure a safe working environment and on-time dependability
ensure adequate operational coverage
responsible for scheduling and manpower utilization
maintain a safe, dependable and consistent operation
conduct agent observations
schedule and administer local training including new hire training
investigate and resolve operational issues as well as customer service issues
must adhere to uniform policy
participate on operational conference calls, station audits and prepare various reports
maintain records such as time and attendance, personnel files and performance
perform station agent work as required including greeting passengers and providing a seamless check-in and ticketing experience
use reservation and ticketing software to rebook itineraries, issue boarding passes, and collect fees
inform passengers about their trips and belongings
guide and direct aircraft on the taxiway
load, unload, sort and appropriately transfer baggage, cargo and company materials
drive ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and bag carts
collaborate with internal teams to ensure safe and on-time departures
clean aircraft interiors and service lavatories
work in the baggage service office to track baggage location
