Job Requirements

  • minimum five years of relevant experience
  • ability to direct food production and service operations
  • food safety manager certification within 90 days
  • supervisory experience of a sizable team
  • working knowledge of dietetics
  • commitment to quality and compliance
  • effective communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • associate degree minimum
  • bachelor degree in culinary arts preferred
  • food safety manager certification required within 90 days
  • basic knowledge of dietetics
  • previous supervision of 12 or more staff
  • three to five years of progressive culinary and kitchen management experience
  • experience in hospital, healthcare, or catering food services

Job Duties

  • direct daily food production and service operations in the hospital
  • ensure compliance with The Joint Commission, HACCP, AHCA, and regulatory standards
  • motivate and lead a team of food service staff
  • establish and maintain operational standards with management
  • implement quality improvement initiatives
  • communicate effectively with the food services team
  • uphold the mission and values of Baptist Health
