The Supervisor Food Services/Chef role is essential to Baptist Health’s mission by ensuring the delivery of high-quality, well-balanced, and cost-effective meals to patients, staff, and visitors. This position involves directing the daily operations of food production and service throughout hospital facilities, maintaining strict compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC), HACCP standards, the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), and all pertinent local, state, and federal regulations. The successful candidate will serve as a leader and role model for the food services team, embodying the values and culture of Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF), focusing on quality, safety, service, knowledge, and diversity.
The Supervisor Food Services/Chef must possess strong leadership skills and the enthusiasm to motivate and retain an engaged and high-performing team. Collaboration with the Operations Manager/Director to establish and maintain operational standards is vital, as is the ability to implement quality improvement initiatives effectively and communicate updates to the team. Job Requirements
- minimum five years of relevant experience
- ability to direct food production and service operations
- food safety manager certification within 90 days
- supervisory experience of a sizable team
- working knowledge of dietetics

Job Qualifications
- associate degree minimum
- bachelor degree in culinary arts preferred
- food safety manager certification required within 90 days
- basic knowledge of dietetics
- previous supervision of 12 or more staff
- three to five years of progressive culinary and kitchen management experience
- experience in hospital, healthcare, or catering food services
