Job Description

McDonald's is a globally recognized leader in the fast-food restaurant industry, known for its commitment to quality, service, cleanliness, and community involvement. As one of the largest and most iconic quick-service restaurant chains worldwide, McDonald's operates thousands of franchised locations, providing appealing job opportunities to individuals seeking rewarding careers in hospitality and food service. The company emphasizes numerous career advancement possibilities alongside excellent benefits and a supportive work environment. While McDonald's USA sets the standards and branding guidelines, many of these restaurants are independently owned and operated by franchisees, who are responsible for the day-to-day management and employee relations of their locations. This unique structure offers employees a chance to work within a global brand while experiencing local operational leadership and investment.

This exciting opportunity is for the role of Supervisor at a franchised McDonald's restaurant, representing an essential leadership position within the organization. The Supervisor is tasked with running a profitable restaurant while ensuring adherence to McDonald's high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. This is a critical role that involves supporting and working closely with General Managers to set restaurant goals, develop business plans, and execute strategies that drive operational success. Supervisors do not act alone but lead a team of General Managers across multiple restaurant locations, coaching and guiding them to improve performance, increase customer satisfaction, and achieve financial objectives.

In addition to operational leadership, Supervisors assist in hiring and developing a strong management team, including Department and Shift Managers. They play a vital role in talent identification, recruitment, training, and retention efforts, ensuring the restaurant has competent leadership to meet current and future challenges. Candidates with prior supervisory experience in high-volume environments, preferably in quick-service restaurants, hospitality, or retail, will thrive in this role. The position not only demands excellent leadership skills but also financial acumen with responsibility for managing restaurant profit and loss (P&L) statements.

McDonald's is dedicated to employee growth and empowerment through continuous coaching, accessible education programs, and meaningful career pathways. Supervisors enjoy a flexible schedule to accommodate personal and educational pursuits and receive comprehensive benefits such as paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, disability coverage, life insurance, employee resource connections, and substantial bonus programs. Educational initiatives like Archways to Opportunity support employees in earning high school diplomas, attending college, and improving English proficiency, reflecting McDonald's commitment to fostering lifelong learning.

By joining McDonald's as a Supervisor, individuals embark on a career that not only offers immediate job satisfaction but also opens doors to future advancement within the brand's vast network. This role is an excellent fit for motivated professionals who thrive on leadership challenges and seek a career with a company that values its people and offers opportunities to grow beyond expectations. Together with vibrant teamwork and a shared mission to create feel-good moments for customers, Supervisors at McDonald's build a strong foundation for their career journey in the food service industry.
