The role of a Restaurant Supervisor at Boston's Restaurant and Sports Bar is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing daily operations to ensure the highest standard of guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. Reporting directly to the Front of House Manager, Kitchen Manager, or General Manager, the Supervisor plays a pivotal role in training, developing, and managing staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders. The Supervisor's goal is to foster a positive and engaging restaurant culture that supports team collaboration and excellent customer service. They are tasked with meeting financial targets such as labor cost controls and achieving guest satisfaction metrics while upholding strict safety, cleanliness, and quality standards. By maintaining an inviting and sanitary environment, the Supervisor ensures every guest receives a top-notch dining experience.

Key responsibilities include leading a team to deliver prompt, friendly, and attentive service, managing opening and closing duties, ensuring proper food and beverage presentation, executing staffing and production plans, and adhering to health and safety protocols. Additionally, the Supervisor is accountable for responsible alcohol service, security measures, and accurate cash handling and till management. Job Requirements

  • 1-3 years of progressive management experience in a full-service restaurant with bar
  • proven leadership skills and ability to follow-through
  • knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel) and Point of Sale system
  • must be able to work flexible hours during, evening, weekends, and holidays
  • strong analytical/decision-making skills
  • must possess a strong sense of urgency and command presence management style
  • leadership skills - able to direct, coach and supervise a team
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral
  • customer service skills - able to exceed guest expectations
  • ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Lead and manage a positive and fun restaurant culture
  • increase sales by ensuring guest satisfaction and prompt problem resolution
  • perform opening and closing duties as scheduled and directed
  • lead, manage, and deliver a friendly guest focused experience
  • ensure only perfectly prepared and plated food and drink are served to each guest
  • execute staffing plan and production plan according to the guidance of the GM/KM
  • ensure operational and occupational health and safety standards are in place and followed
  • always ensures responsible selling and service of alcohol as mandated by the respected licensing authorities, Serve Safe Alcohol training, and Boston's Pizza training guidelines
  • maintains appropriate security protocols for guest, employee, and restaurant safety
  • accurately account for cash tips, safe counts, till management
  • other duties as required
