Job Description
Igloo Products Corp is a renowned American brand with a legacy spanning over 75 years, recognized for delivering exceptional and durable performance products designed to meet everyday cooler needs. With a rich history originating from a metalworking shop that provided fresh cold water to Texas workers, Igloo has evolved into an iconic housewares brand and the leading name in ice chests across the United States. Today, Igloo enjoys over 90% brand awareness and holds the number one market share in the US for coolers and outdoor lifestyle products. As a pioneer in sustainability within its category, Igloo has introduced biodegradable coolers and products made from post-consumer recycled resin and other sustainable materials. In addition, the company has developed a growing direct-to-consumer (DTC) business model, allowing it to foster strong relationships with its customers and adapt to changing market trends.
In 2021, Igloo was acquired by Dometic Brands, opening new opportunities for global growth and collaboration between both entities. As part of this exciting chapter, Igloo is on a continuous growth trajectory and is seeking a passionate and dedicated Superintendent - Assembly Maintenance to join their team. This leadership role is vital in overseeing and coordinating maintenance department efforts to ensure maximum productivity, equipment reliability, and adherence to production volume and quality standards. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the Superintendent will manage a team of Maintenance Leads and Technicians, guiding their performance through goal-setting, development plans, and competency assessments.
The Superintendent - Assembly Maintenance will play a crucial role in driving maintenance operations that support efficient production schedules, equipment uptime, and lean manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include developing standardized operating procedures, ensuring safety compliance with OSHA and company policies, collaborating with Engineering and New Product Development teams, and actively participating in troubleshooting and work order execution to minimize downtime. The role demands strong leadership capabilities, effective communication skills, and a deep understanding of industrial maintenance within manufacturing environments, particularly those involving injection molding and plastic manufacturing processes.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing setting where the candidate will contribute to Igloo’s mission of providing top-quality outdoor products while embracing sustainability and innovation. Candidates with a solid background in engineering or related technical fields, combined with extensive experience in industrial maintenance and production, will find this role both challenging and rewarding. The company also places a strong emphasis on fostering an inclusive and equitable work environment where diversity is valued, and employees are encouraged to excel and grow alongside the business. Igloo Products Corp is committed to equal employment opportunities and adheres to strict policies against discrimination, harassment, and unlawful labor practices. The company supports and respects internationally proclaimed human rights, ensuring a safe and respectful workplace for all employees.
