Job Description

Rocket Farm Restaurants is a renowned restaurant group committed to fostering a workplace culture built on respect, dignity, and mutual care. The core philosophy at Rocket Farm Restaurants is "We serve the person who is serving the guest," highlighting their belief in maintaining a compassionate and supportive work environment starting in the kitchen and radiating out to guest interactions. Their establishments value community, teamwork, and integrity, ensuring that every staff member is treated with the utmost respect and kindness. This ethos is not just lip service but a deeply ingrained part of the culture that supports both the employees and the guests.

Superica Dunwoody, a proud member of Rocket Farm Restaurants, is a Tex-Mex culinary destination known for its warm and inviting Old West-inspired atmosphere. It is celebrated for its authentic Tex-Mex cuisine that has become a way of life, not merely a meal. Superica offers a vibrant setting perfect for brunch, lunch, dinner, and savoring refreshing margaritas. This restaurant provides a unique dining experience that champions rich flavors, friendly service, and a welcoming environment, making it one of the most sought-after spots in Dunwoody for both locals and visitors.

The Sous Chef position at Superica Dunwoody is a pivotal role that demands leadership, culinary expertise, and operational management skills. This role requires managing the hourly back-of-house staff and supporting the day-to-day operations across all kitchen areas, including production, preparation, stewarding, purchasing, and receiving. The Sous Chef is responsible for training line cooks to ensure they can consistently produce menu items that meet the high standards of presentation and flavor established by the restaurant.

An essential part of this role is the ability to lead effectively in the absence of the Executive Chef, demonstrating positive and proactive problem-solving skills to handle potential obstacles. The Sous Chef should possess the capability to maintain a calm and composed demeanor under pressure, inspiring and motivating the team to work cohesively and efficiently. Candidates ideally have at least three years of progressive culinary experience, including time spent in a Lead Cook or Sous Chef role.

This opportunity offers a competitive salary ranging from $55,000 to $70,000 per year, dependent on experience, complemented by a generous quarterly bonus program. Additionally, full benefits eligibility is granted after 30 days of employment, including major medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Employees at Superica Dunwoody enjoy a supportive culture and ethical work environment, alongside dynamic performance-based raises and promotions, paid time off, childbirth recovery leave, parental leave, long-term retention bonuses, and time off on major holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

Moreover, team members receive a 50% discount at all Rocket Farm Restaurants across multiple cities, specialized leadership training through Rocket Farm University, employee-led mentorship programs, advisory councils, and safety committees. Rocket Farm Restaurants is an equal opportunity employer committed to fair employment practices and respects the rights of all applicants in accordance with federal employment laws. Joining this team means becoming part of a dynamic, innovative, and heartfelt group of individuals dedicated to both excellence in cuisine and a nurturing workplace culture.
