Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • three years culinary experience including one in a supervisory role
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • willingness to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • food safety certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of progressive culinary experience
  • experience as a Lead Cook or Sous Chef
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • ability to train and develop kitchen staff
  • excellent problem-solving abilities
  • calmness under pressure
  • knowledge of Tex-Mex cuisine preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage hourly back-of-house staff
  • assist in day-to-day kitchen operations including production, prep, stewarding, purchasing, and receiving
  • train line cooks to ensure adherence to recipes and consistency
  • lead the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef
  • handle obstacles proactively and solve issues
  • maintain, motivate, and inspire the kitchen team
  • work calmly under pressure
