Job Requirements
- Culinary degree or relevant professional training preferred
- minimum five years of culinary experience
- at least two years in a Sous Chef role
- ability to lead and motivate a team
- strong knowledge of kitchen operations and safety standards
- availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- physical stamina to perform kitchen duties
Job Qualifications
- Five years of progressive culinary experience preferred
- two years of experience as a Sous Chef
- strong leadership and team management skills
- ability to work calmly under pressure
- excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- experience managing culinary budgets
- effective communication skills
Job Duties
- Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations including production and prep
- manage private parties and special events
- supervise stewarding, purchasing and receiving
- ensure culinary staff meet high-quality standards
- run kitchen effectively in the absence of the Executive Chef
- lead and develop a cohesive culinary team
- manage culinary budget and monitor labor, scheduling and overtime to optimize productivity and guest satisfaction
