Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven culinary experience for five years including two in Sous Chef capacity
- Ability to work calmly under pressure
- Strong leadership capabilities
- Effective communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Five years of progressive culinary experience
- Minimum two years in Sous Chef role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience managing culinary budgets and labor costs
- Ability to perform under pressure
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards
Job Duties
- Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations including production and prep
- Manage private parties and special events culinary aspects
- Supervise stewarding, purchasing, and receiving departments
- Ensure culinary staff create menu items to highest standards
- Run kitchen professionally in Executive Chef's absence
- Monitor and manage culinary budget, labor, scheduling and overtime
- Lead and develop a cohesive culinary team
