Job Description
Our organization is a member-focused entity dedicated to providing exceptional service and support to our community. We strive to create a welcoming and professional environment where members, visitors, and staff feel valued and respected. As a seasonal employer, we offer opportunities for individuals to gain valuable experience in administrative and customer service roles during the busy summer period. Our office functions as a vibrant hub where efficient communication, organization, and member satisfaction are paramount. We are committed to fostering a positive workplace culture that encourages teamwork, reliability, and personal growth, ensuring each team member can contribute meaningfully to our collective goals.
We are currently seeking a friendly, dependable, and member-focused Summer Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to support our office during the high-activity summer season. This seasonal position entails working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility available as needed. The Summer Receptionist / Administrative Assistant will serve as the first point of contact for members, visitors, and callers, performing front desk reception duties with professionalism and warmth. Excellent communication and member service skills are essential as the successful candidate will be responsible for answering and directing incoming phone calls efficiently, responding to general inquiries, and assisting members with their requests.
In addition to reception duties, the role involves supporting a substantial document scanning, filing, and records organization project, helping to maintain both digital and physical files in an orderly fashion. This multitasking role requires someone with strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage repetitive tasks diligently. General clerical and administrative functions will also be part of the daily responsibilities, including maintaining a tidy and organized reception and office area to uphold a professional atmosphere.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with people, thrive in structured environments, and want to contribute to a team-oriented workplace. We value candidates who are dependable, punctual, and exhibit a cheerful yet professional demeanor, as these traits directly impact the positive experiences of our members and visitors. While previous experience in reception or administrative roles is advantageous, it is not mandatory. We provide a supportive environment that enables new team members to develop their skills and grow throughout the summer employment period. If you are a positive, proactive individual with a can-do attitude who takes pride in organization and customer service, this role is an excellent chance to be part of a dynamic team focused on excellence and community engagement.
