Job Description

Great Wolf Lodge is a renowned hospitality and entertainment company that operates family-friendly resorts and indoor water parks across North America. Known for its vibrant, fun-filled, and safe environments, Great Wolf Lodge offers guests unforgettable vacation experiences through its unique blend of attractions, accommodations, dining, and retail options. As a leading brand in the hospitality industry, Great Wolf Lodge is committed to delivering top-notch guest service and fostering an engaging work culture that values growth, development, and inclusivity. The company prioritizes creating joy for families and maintaining a supportive team atmosphere for all its employees, referred to as Pack Members, who are instrumental in bringing the brand's mission to life. With a focus on teamwork, imagination, and personalization, Great Wolf Lodge continually expands its presence by adding new lodges, providing employees with ongoing opportunities to contribute to the company’s success and develop their careers within a growing organization.

The Great Wolf Summer Hospitality Internship is a comprehensive 10-week program designed specifically for college students pursuing careers in hospitality, business, or related fields. This paid internship provides a valuable opportunity for participants to gain hands-on experience that complements their academic studies, offering a dynamic mix of experiential and structured learning. Throughout the program, interns are placed in frontline positions across several departments, including Guest Services, Housekeeping, Retail and Attractions, and Food and Beverage, allowing them to develop a broad understanding of hotel and resort operations. Participants also engage in a job shadow week where they explore other disciplines beyond their rotation, such as Human Resources, Sales, and Aquatics, which enhances their exposure to various facets of the business.

In addition to operational experience, interns are empowered to take ownership of a meaningful project tailored to their interests and learning goals, culminating in a presentation to the lodge leadership team. This aspect of the program helps interns develop critical skills in project management, communication, and leadership. The internship also incorporates self-paced and classroom-style training sessions to build both soft and technical skills relevant to their assigned roles. Throughout the experience, interns receive frequent feedback and coaching to support their professional growth. By networking with fellow participants and lodge leaders, interns build valuable connections that can open doors to future full-time roles or the company’s Management Development Program (MDP) for recent graduates.

Overall, the Great Wolf Summer Hospitality Internship stands out as a unique entry point into the hospitality industry. Participants benefit from real-world experience in a family-oriented and supportive environment, allowing them to apply academic knowledge while gaining practical skills in customer service, leadership, and operational excellence. The internship is a paid position, with an hourly wage of $18, and requires a commitment of at least 10 weeks during the summer months. This inclusive program is open to students currently enrolled in Associate's or Bachelor's degree programs who are eager to learn, grow, and contribute to one of the industry’s most respected brands. Great Wolf Lodge fosters an equal employment opportunity environment, ensuring all applicants receive fair consideration regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability status. This is an excellent chance for aspiring hospitality professionals to join a growing company that values joy, teamwork, and continuous personal and professional development.
