Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- valid driver's license
- reliable transportation
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- ability to see and hear
- ability to speak clearly
- ability to bend, stand, stoop, walk, and climb a ladder
- must be in good health
- must wear personal protective equipment as needed
- ability to pass a background check
- must be able to complete and maintain CPR and First Aid certification
- ability to respond to emergency situations and report safety incidents
- commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment
- follow YMCA safety protocols, OSHA standards, and state/local regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- knowledge of USDA Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) or USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) guidelines is a plus
- strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- excellent communication and leadership abilities
- ability to manage online reporting systems
- ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- must be able to pass a background check
Job Duties
- Assist in the execution of the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) to ensure compliance with USDA and state regulations
- assist in the daily operations of meal distribution sites, ensuring food safety, inventory control, and program efficiency
- assist in ensuring volunteers and seasonal staff follow all meal service procedures and compliance requirements
- assist in documenting meal counts, inventory, and compliance records as needed
- assist with meal deliveries and procurement of produce for distribution
- provide on-site support and troubleshooting at meal distribution locations
- maintain strong relationships with site supervisors, community organizations, and program stakeholders
- perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Food Services or Food Services Specialist
