Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous food and beverage service experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to handle cash and operate service equipment
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Willingness to work as part of a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Customer service orientation
- Ability to follow established service protocols
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Team player with flexibility and patience
- Basic understanding of specialized diets and allergens is a plus
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- Takes food and beverage orders in an efficient manner following established steps of service
- Delivers food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- Follows up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
- Demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advises guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
- Communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated
- Handles cash transactions following proper cash-handling procedures
- Promotes a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- Addresses complaints or issues promptly and relays relevant information to supervisor
- Ensures dining room is properly set up prior to and after service period and maintains sanitation standards
- Operates equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- Collaborates with staff from other departments during special events and functions
- Performs other duties as assigned
