Job Description

CrossAmerica Partners is a prominent wholesale distributor specializing in motor fuels with a vast geographic presence spanning 34 states in the United States. As a key player in the fuel distribution industry, the company also operates convenience stores and manages a diverse portfolio of real estate strategically used to support the retail distribution of motor fuels. This establishment emphasizes providing essential fuel and convenience products that keep people moving efficiently and reliably across America. CrossAmerica Partners is committed to industry leadership, quality service, and operational excellence, which it pursues through innovative retail solutions and customer-focused convenience offerings.

The Subway Manager role at CrossAmerica Partners is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all food service and beverage programs within the facility. This multifaceted role involves managing both nationally recognized branded food offerings and proprietary food programs unique to the company. The Subway Manager ensures that exceptional customer service is delivered consistently while maintaining the highest food safety standards and achieving operational goals efficiently. This position requires hands-on leadership, involving direct participation in operational tasks such as lifting and carrying products, maintaining proper inventory levels, and ensuring a clean and organized workspace.

In this role, the Subway Manager is tasked with supervising, training, and motivating a dedicated team of food service employees to deliver outstanding customer experiences. The manager ensures that all staff are well-versed in branded menu offerings as well as the company’s proprietary food services. Performance management, including regular evaluations and ongoing feedback, is also a crucial responsibility that promotes a culture of continuous improvement and high accountability.

The Subway Manager is tasked with the critical responsibility of managing and executing branded food service programs, including national fast-food brands and in-house proprietary menus. The role requires close collaboration with vendors to guarantee timely and accurate delivery of all food and beverage items and diligent inventory monitoring with responsive ordering to avoid shortages or overstock.

Ensuring high customer satisfaction levels is fundamental to this role. The Subway Manager addresses customer concerns promptly, implements cleanliness and hygiene procedures rigorously, and maintains compliance with all local, state, and federal food safety regulations including health and sanitation standards. Operational efficiency is driven through vigilant oversight of daily functions, ensuring that the facility remains fully staffed, stocked, and prepared to meet peak traffic demands. This includes stepping into operational tasks, such as preparing, presenting, and serving food and beverages as necessary.

Health and safety compliance is another significant focus of the Subway Manager, ensuring proper food handling and storage procedures while maintaining sanitation throughout all food preparation and service areas. The role also involves administrative duties such as maintaining precise records of inventory, sales, staff schedules, and operational matters. Weekly reporting to upper management on performance, sales trends, and operational challenges ensures transparency and supports strategic decision-making.

Physically, the Subway Manager must be capable of standing for extended periods, lifting and carrying products up to 50 lbs, and maneuvering around the store including climbing ladders. The role demands mental focus, stamina, and flexibility to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with a schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and outside regular business hours. Seasonal responsibilities such as snow removal may also be required.

CrossAmerica Partners offers a competitive benefits package for full-time team members including health insurance, paid vacation, holiday pay, and 401K with employer match, along with additional benefits for part-time employees. The company maintains an inclusive, equal opportunity employment policy and provides reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals.
