Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and sanitation
- Organizational and time management skills
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to lift 10-25 pounds
- Ability to stand for the majority of the shift
- Ability to navigate stairs safely
- Ability to bend and reach for food preparation and cleaning
- Ability to operate kitchen appliances safely
- Follow all food service policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and sanitation
- Organizational and time management skills
- Basic computer knowledge for effective use of IPad
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation policies
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with supervisors and staff
Job Duties
- Operate a safe, sanitary, and efficient kitchen
- Prepare and distribute meals and snacks following USDA, DCF, DPI, and Encompass policies
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met
- Maintain safe, sanitary conditions of kitchen and equipment
- Communicate food service issues and menu changes to Director of Food Services and Center Director
- Complete required reports and record-keeping accurately and on time
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
