Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and sanitation
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Ability to lift 10-25 pounds
  • Ability to stand for the majority of the shift
  • Ability to navigate stairs safely
  • Ability to bend and reach for food preparation and cleaning
  • Ability to operate kitchen appliances safely
  • Follow all food service policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and sanitation
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Basic computer knowledge for effective use of IPad
  • Ability to follow food safety and sanitation policies
  • Strong communication skills to interact professionally with supervisors and staff

Job Duties

  • Operate a safe, sanitary, and efficient kitchen
  • Prepare and distribute meals and snacks following USDA, DCF, DPI, and Encompass policies
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met
  • Maintain safe, sanitary conditions of kitchen and equipment
  • Communicate food service issues and menu changes to Director of Food Services and Center Director
  • Complete required reports and record-keeping accurately and on time
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
