We are currently seeking a highly organized and motivated Student Program Coordinator to join our dynamic Campus Experience team. This is a professional hourly position based in Norman with a targeted salary of $20.67 per hour, dependent on experience. The role is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package and operates primarily Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional weekend hours and possible travel requirements.

In this role, the Student Program Coordinator acts as the key coordinator for campus tours, group visits, and personalized experiences, serving as a central point of contact for both visitors and student tour guides. The position demands a detail-oriented and proactive approach to managing daily tour operations, scheduling, and visitor engagement to ensure that every prospective student and family receives a seamless, welcoming, and informative experience reflective of the OU spirit. Responsibilities include coordinating logistics for various campus visits, assisting with recruitment event planning, managing communication channels such as email and SMS related to tours, and handling recruitment material inventory within the Jones Family Welcome Center. Training coordination for student employees is also a significant aspect of this position, ensuring that tour guides and staff are well-prepared to represent the university effectively. Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree or 48 months of equivalent experience
  • ability to work monday through friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with some weekends
  • eligibility to pass background check
  • strong communication skills
  • experience with customer service or event coordination
  • willingness to engage with prospective students and families
  • ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment

Job Duties

  • assist with planning and implementing student programs and services
  • coordinate daily campus tours and group experiences
