Job Description
This position is for a Student Nutrition Coordinator - Chef at a service center. The Chef Coordinator will support the Student Nutrition Services Department in recipe development and testing, training material development, and marketing collaboration. Responsibilities include overseeing monthly board catering functions and menu planning.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Food and Nutrition, or related field preferred
- Proctored Food Protection Management certification required
- Valid Texas Driver’s License required
- Minimum three years of Food Service Management experience required
- Experience in catering and culinary training required
- Knowledge of USDA Child Nutrition programs preferred
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions
- Effective communication skills
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Suite
- Ability to design standardized recipes meeting USDA requirements
- Experience in organizing catering functions and purchasing methods
