As one of the top 10 radio broadcasters across the United States, Connoisseur Media operates an impressive portfolio of 216 radio stations spread across 47 markets. The company is committed to creating media that resonates deeply with listeners, covering a broad spectrum from music and news to local community events. Through its digital marketing arm, Connrex Digital, Connoisseur Media offers innovative solutions that help brands flourish with smart marketing strategies, captivating storytelling, and expert public relations. Central to the company’s ethos is the belief that people are the heart and soul of the organization, fostering a community-minded culture where employees enthusiastically engage and make meaningful contributions to the areas they serve.
Located in Louisville, Kentucky, Connoisseur Media is currently seeking enthusiastic, high-energy individuals to join its legendary Street Team on a part-time basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to become the public face and vibrant personality of some of Louisville's most popular radio stations, including WDJX-FM, WGHL-FM, WXMA-FM, WMJM-FM, and WGZB-FM. As a Street Team Crew Member, you will be actively involved in a variety of community events such as local concerts, festivals, charity fundraisers, and live radio broadcasts. Your role will be dynamic and engaging, requiring you to connect directly with listeners, set up visually appealing station displays, facilitate exciting games and contests, and nurture an upbeat ambiance wherever you go.
This position is designed for self-starters who excel in fast-paced, team-oriented environments and possess exceptional communication and customer service skills. You will think on your feet, manage logistics for events, and maintain high energy levels throughout your shifts. Hours can vary greatly depending on the type and timing of events, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the unpredictable nature of live event management. While the role requires flexibility and a positive demeanor, it offers a vibrant, rewarding experience where no two days are the same.
Under the supervision of the Street Team Manager, team members are responsible for executing a wide range of station and company events ensuring smooth operations and lively attendee engagement. This role entails responsibilities such as setting up equipment and event infrastructure, including raising tents, setting up sound systems, and displaying signage or banners. Managing the events effectively means not only interacting with listeners but also leading activities like games, prize wheels, and making announcements using microphones or PA systems. Working closely with various stakeholders including listeners, employees, managers, and clients, Street Team members help bring the Connoisseur Media brand to life in the Louisville community.
Candidates are expected to meet basic requirements such as being at least 18 years old, holding a valid driver’s license with current auto insurance, and possessing the physical ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds. A positive and adaptable attitude is essential, as well as being available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Preference will be given to applicants who are 21 years or older, have an interest in radio, or have prior experience in the radio or media industry.
Connoisseur Media provides competitive part-time employee benefits including an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for employees and their household members, a 401(k) retirement plan with discretionary employer matching, and sick leave pay where required by state law. As an Equal Opportunity Employer participating in E-Verify, Connoisseur Media values diversity and inclusivity in its workforce. The company ensures reasonable accommodations for applicants requiring assistance during the application process. If you are a motivated individual looking to gain experience in the exciting world of radio broadcasting and community engagement, join Connoisseur Media Louisville’s Street Team and be part of a company that truly values passion, innovation, and community impact.
