Job Description

As part of its growing team, Slice is seeking a Strategy and Operations Lead to manage and operate one of its vital Slice Hubs. The Slice Hub acts as a logistical and operational engine that ensures all retail partners receive their necessary goods, marketing materials, and hardware on time and with consistent quality. This strategy-focused leadership position is key to supporting shop success, improving onboarding and retention rates, managing inventory, overseeing local printing operations, and supervising delivery fleet management. The Strategy and Operations Lead works closely with cross-functional teams like Sales and Implementation to provide smooth transitions for new partners and to increase market share. This position carries substantial responsibility for budget management, key performance indicator (KPI) execution, and overall operational excellence, including warehouse efficiency, cost control, and delivery reliability.

The ideal candidate will boast over five years of experience in business operations or supply chain management, demonstrating proficiency in managing hub operations, production, fulfillment, and fleet coordination. Exceptional skills in systems execution, budget ownership, and cross-department collaboration are essential for success. The company appreciates candidates with a background in logistics or operations, and an MBA is preferred but not mandatory. Compensation ranges from $120,000 to $140,000 annually plus benefits, reflecting the importance of this role within the organization.

Job Duties

  • Own and operate the Slice Hub to meet regional performance goals with a focus on shop retention
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery or pickup of goods marketing materials and hardware to shops
  • Oversee the Hub's in-house printing operations and hardware provisioning and other local operations
  • Track and improve shop onboarding retention and market share in partnership with sales and implementation
  • Manage the Hub budget and execute against key operational KPIs including managing profit and loss performance meeting on-time delivery SLAs maintaining inventory accuracy avoiding stockouts ensuring fast fulfillment and delivery of branded packaging orders managing fleet capacity optimizing utilization and maintaining assets
  • Build and execute standard operating procedures and systems in partnership with central teams
  • Manage inventory and distribution including local storage and fulfillment of goods such as branded packaging hardware like register kits and printers and marketing materials
  • Lead fleet and delivery management including local driver coordination and fleet operations to ensure fast and reliable delivery
  • Maintain the demo and showroom including workbenches community area and Slice team workspace
