Job Requirements
- minimum 5 years experience in a supervisory role
- minimum 5 years experience with usa export regulations, incoterms, nvocc concepts, iso 9001 procedures and cfr49 hazardous materials regulations
- 5 to 7 years industry experience
- bachelor's degree (b.a.)
- ability in problem-solving and experience in managing customer complaints
- ability to multitask and deal with dynamic problems and variables
- ability to prioritize workload, work independently, be a team player and work in a fast paced environment
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- strong computer skills and experience in microsoft office products
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.)
- minimum 5 years experience in a supervisory role
- minimum 5 years experience with USA export regulations, Incoterms, NVOCC concepts, ISO 9001, and CFR49 hazardous materials regulations
- 5 to 7 years industry experience
- strong problem-solving skills
- experience managing customer complaints
- ability to multitask and handle dynamic issues
- effective prioritization and independent work skills
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Job Duties
- Supervises LLP and Export operations
- trains and advises team members in export processes, export regulations, billing systems, and accounting procedures
- trains and advises team in LLP execution and data management
- monitors team performance and identifies transactions requiring special handling
- works with clients to execute blueprint and contractual obligations
- oversees timely billing and accountability for profit on shipments
- maintains and distributes customer and management reports
- provides proactive customer service communication via email, phone, and EDI
- completes daily operational and quality reporting
- manages and establishes department quoting processes
- ensures timely and accurate shipment closing and billing
- prepares reports for customers and management
- alerts clients of concerns or potential process issues
- records shipment deviations in system
- communicates changes in U.S. and foreign shipping regulations to clients
- oversees customer export freight forwarding and NVOCC orders compliance
- observes and documents individual and team performance with feedback
- ensures export compliance is completed timely and accurately
- assists accounting department with accounts receivable/payable issues
