- must be 16 years or older
- able to lift 40-65 pounds
- able to stand for long periods
- pass drug screening where applicable
- flexible availability including evenings, weekends and holidays

- review and compare ingredient labels of pet food
- fit pets with accessories like harnesses
- educate customers on pet ownership
- stock shelves with pet supplies
- ring up purchases using accurate cashier skills
- care for pets including feeding and cleaning habitats
