Job Requirements
- must be at least 16 years old
- pass a drug screening in applicable states
- ability to stand for long periods
- capability to lift between 40-65 pounds
- flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
- customer-oriented attitude
- basic knowledge of pet care and products
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous retail or pet care experience advantageous
- ability to provide excellent customer service
- strong knowledge of pet products and animal care
- good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy items
- effective communication and teamwork skills
- willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- help neighbors select appropriate pet toys and accessories
- review and compare pet food ingredient labels for customers
- fit pets with suitable harnesses and equipment
- educate customers on pet ownership and care
- stock store shelves and maintain inventory
- process purchases accurately and efficiently
- care for pets in the store including feeding and cleaning habitats
