Job Requirements
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and professional conduct standards
- Frequently walk, reach, and talk
- Occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, push and pull
- Lift up to 10 pounds constantly and up to 60 pounds occasionally
- Constantly stand, handle, and use fingers for grasping and repetitive motions
- Specific vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Must meet federal and state requirements for firearm sales (Fishing and Hunting sales only)
- Must qualify to obtain and maintain FOID card (Illinois only)
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice preferred (Asset Protection only)
- Previous related work experience preferred
- Ability to connect and build rapport with customers
- Proficient in basic mathematical computations
- Skilled in using POS equipment and inventory software
- CPR and First Responder certification a plus (Asset Protection only)
- Knowledge of firearms sales requirements and FOID card qualification (Fishing and Hunting sales only)
- Passionate and well-versed in outdoor hobbies such as fishing, hunting, competitive shooting, and camping
Job Duties
- Provide prompt and friendly customer service to all team members and customers
- Connect, build rapport and engage with customers who enjoy sports and outdoor pursuits
- Operate point-of-sale equipment, symbol, and telephone (Cashier only)
- Execute multiple tasks with superior organizational skills and detail orientation
- Read, interpret and follow safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, plan-o-grams and procedure manuals
- Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with merchandising and receiving
- Adhere to emergency response procedures and demonstrate strong situational awareness and observation skills
