The Year-round Full-time Store Team Leader of Merchandising role is critical to the store's success. This position supports the store leadership in driving business results by directing team talent and ensuring that customers experience the legendary L.L.Bean hospitality and service. The role is embedded within the merchandising area, where the Team Leader will be responsible for planning and executing compelling floor sets, translating product guides into inspiring merchandise presentations, and supporting all visual display and window executions. This position demands strong business acumen to analyze sales reports and trends to make strategic decisions that enhance sales and customer loyalty.

In addition to merchandising, the Team Leader will focus on optimizing the customer experience. This includes modeling excellent service, driving sales conversion, analyzing customer feedback, and collaborating with the team to implement recognition programs and in-store contests that motivate and engage employees. The leader will also ensure optimal inventory and size representation on the sales floor while maintaining high standards for fitting room services.

Training and development are vital aspects of this position. The Team Leader will support and train associates by communicating standards, procedures, and company policies, leading product knowledge training, and ensuring continuous learning through ongoing assessments. Job Duties

  • Plans, maps and executes floor sets by translating product guides and floor sets into inspiring merchandise presentations
  • Analyzes reports and uses business acumen to drive sales
  • Completes and supports all visual display and window executions
  • Works closely with operations productivity team for efficient floor sets and replenishment
  • Executes marketing signage and promotions
  • Models and fosters an environment where service is the top priority
  • Acts as a leader on duty to drive conversion and sales
  • Supports and trains associates, delivering ongoing product knowledge training
  • Aids in the achievement of financial measures and area-specific metrics
  • Serves as a key holder with store opening and closing responsibilities
