This particular opportunity is with a franchisee of Scooter's Coffee located at 3136 Floyd Blvd in Sioux City, Iowa. While the franchise operates independently and sets its own terms of employment including wages and benefits, potential employees will be joining an energetic and passionate team that embodies the brand’s exceptional standards and welcoming culture. The Store Supervisor role at Scooter's Coffee is an integral leadership position designed to support store operations and ensure an excellent customer experience. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, the Store Supervisor acts as a role model for barista duties, guiding and assisting the team to maintain the high standards the brand is known for.

The Store Supervisor is responsible for maintaining smooth and efficient daily workflows, particularly during busy periods, by managing an effective team and anticipating customer needs. They play a vital role in enhancing customer satisfaction by upholding consistency in beverage quality, following brand recipes and preparation techniques accurately. This position involves resolving customer issues professionally and enforcing health, safety, and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment for both customers and staff.

Beyond operational responsibilities, the Store Supervisor aids in onboarding and training new team members, fostering a collaborative and motivated atmosphere. Leadership and communication skills are key since this role entails providing constructive feedback and recognizing individual team member strengths to promote personal and team development. The Store Supervisor also assists with administrative duties and undertakes keyholder responsibilities including opening and closing the store following all procedural requirements. Being bilingual is considered an asset in the role, enhancing communication with diverse customers and team members.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math skills for cash handling
  • Bilingual abilities a plus
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Must be dependable and punctual

Job Duties

  • Ensure consistent and quality customer experience by executing brand beverage recipes and techniques, resolving customer relations issues, and leading the team in delivering the Scooters Amazing customer service experience
  • Maintain speed of service standards during high-volume periods by staying calm, managing an efficient team workflow, anticipating customer needs, and utilizing downtime to prepare for the next rush
  • Assist the Store Manager in onboarding and training new team members
  • Develop effective working relationships with team members, identifying individual motivation factors and providing clear, constructive feedback to reinforce/improve performance
  • Proactively seek opportunities to increase individual and team sales
  • Understand and execute cash handling, point of sale system, and operational procedures in an accurate, consistent manner
  • Ensure team members follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • Serve as a keyholder, following all opening and closing procedures
  • Demonstrate punctuality, dependability, and adaptability
  • Assist Store Manager with administrative duties as requested
