Job Duties
- Processing freight
- assisting with taking price changes/markdowns
- balancing register according to company policy
- calling out prices for customers when ringing register transactions
- bagging merchandise efficiently when completing customer transactions
- handling all cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy
- obtaining management approval when needed for returns, voids and checks
- handling maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned
- providing proper customer service such as greeting customers, abiding by fitting room policies, ringing customers in a timely fashion, thanking customers for shopping and inviting them to return
- following all safety procedures
- maintaining a professional, neat appearance including wearing a name tag
- assisting management in merchandising sales floor according to stock level
- assisting management with any tasks requested per company policy
- explaining exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions
- assisting store manager with loss prevention procedures including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting incidents of theft or dishonesty, and following operational policies
