Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company, a globally recognized coffeehouse chain, is renowned for its commitment to crafting the world’s finest coffee while fostering meaningful connections. Founded in Seattle, Starbucks has grown to become a leader in the specialty coffee industry, known not only for its premium products but also for creating warm and welcoming spaces where customers can gather and share moments of connection and joy. Starbucks emphasizes community, quality, and the customer experience, which distinguishes it from other coffee retailers worldwide. The company also prioritizes the growth and well-being of its employees, known as partners, offering extensive benefits and career development opportunities.

This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced retail or customer service leader who shares Starbucks' passion for crafting exceptional coffee experiences and creating an inviting environment. As a coffeehouse leader at Starbucks, you won’t just be managing a store; you’ll be mentoring and coaching a team to create meaningful moments for customers every day. You are expected to lead with both craft and heart, ensuring your coffeehouse is a place where the community feels genuinely welcome. Empowered by your leadership, your team will deliver excellent service and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

The position seeks individuals with strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, combined with an entrepreneurial spirit and proven leadership capabilities. Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of three years retail or customer service management experience or alternatively four or more years of U.S. military service, providing them with the discipline and maturity necessary for coaching and mentoring teams professionally. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

This full-time role demands flexibility to work variable hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Starbucks invests heavily in its partners’ professional growth and offers career advancement opportunities through developmental experiences. In addition to an engaging work environment, partners benefit from industry-leading benefits packages that enhance their overall well-being.

As a Starbucks partner, you and your family will have access to comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, basic and supplemental life insurance, and various voluntary coverages. Additional benefits include short-term and long-term disability plans, paid parental leave, family expansion reimbursement, paid vacation starting from the first day of employment, accrued sick time, paid holidays, and personal days. Eligible partners may participate in a 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching, a discounted company stock program, and an equity program called Bean Stock. The company also provides financial wellness tools, emergency savings incentives, and educational support such as 100% tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor’s degree through Arizona State University’s online program via the Starbucks College Achievement Plan, student loan management resources, and other learning opportunities.

Starbucks is committed to equal opportunity employment and complies with all applicable laws regarding employee leave and accommodations. The company strives to create a diverse and inclusive workplace where all qualified applicants receive consideration regardless of race, color, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristics. Starbucks values the unique contributions of its partners and seeks to foster a supportive environment that encourages personal and professional growth.

In conclusion, joining Starbucks as a coffeehouse leader means becoming part of a community that values connection, quality, and growth. If you have the leadership skills, customer service experience, and passion for coffee that we seek, we invite you to apply today and start your journey creating world-class coffee experiences while making a meaningful impact in your community.
