Job Description
Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized coffeehouse chain known for crafting the world's finest coffee and fostering meaningful connections with customers. Founded in 1971 in Seattle, Washington, Starbucks has grown into a leading specialty coffee retailer with thousands of locations worldwide. The company prides itself on creating a warm and welcoming environment where every cup of coffee sparks a moment of connection and joy. Starbucks is more than just a coffee business; it is a place where community, quality, and value intersect to create memorable experiences for customers and partners alike.
Starbucks operates in the retail coffee industry and is committed to ethical sourcing, sustainability, and social responsibility. It empowers its partners (employees) through comprehensive benefits, continuous learning opportunities, and an inclusive culture that values diversity and growth. The company invests heavily in its employees' personal and professional development, offering industry-leading benefits and development programs that encourage partners to thrive in their roles.
The Coffeehouse Leader role at Starbucks is a leadership position that goes beyond typical retail management. This role is about leading a team that delivers excellent customer service and high-quality coffee experiences. As a Coffeehouse Leader, you will manage day-to-day operations, ensure a welcoming atmosphere for customers and partners, and foster a culture of collaboration and growth. The position demands an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to lead by example, coaching team members with maturity and professionalism.
This full-time role requires a significant time commitment, often exceeding 40 hours per week, including variable shifts during early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Starbucks provides a competitive salary that reflects the candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, location, and internal equity, ensuring fair compensation for the role.
Starbucks offers a comprehensive benefits package that supports partners and their families. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; basic and supplemental life insurance; short-term and long-term disability coverage; paid parental leave; family expansion reimbursement; paid vacation from the date of hire; sick time accrued based on hours worked; eight paid holidays; and personal days. Additionally, the company offers retirement plans with employer matching, discounted stock programs, and financial well-being tools. Starbucks also supports educational advancement by providing 100% tuition coverage for a first bachelor’s degree through Arizona State University’s online program, student loan management resources, and access to backup care and other educational benefits.
Starbucks Coffee Company is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. It considers qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, disability, or veteran status. The company also provides reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities to ensure a fair hiring process.
Joining Starbucks as a Coffeehouse Leader means becoming part of a brand with a rich heritage and strong community presence. You will have the opportunity to develop leadership skills, influence your team positively, and create inclusive environments where both customers and partners feel valued. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting and who are passionate about coffee and customer service excellence.
