Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in a retail environment preferably in footwear and athletic apparel
  • 3-5 years of customer service experience
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive store sales and sales goals consistently focused on company growth
  • Manage and control the companys assets within the designated store
  • Direct and oversee entire sales efforts in the store including training and mentoring store associates
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all store aspects such as sales statistics, inventory, and expenses to produce profit
  • Consult and collaborate with District Sales Manager to establish and enforce policies, goals, and procedures
  • Direct staff to ensure completion of responsibilities and standards in each department
  • Mentor and cultivate a team of Sales Associates, Assistant Managers, and Managers in Training
  • Carry out recruiting, hiring, training, discipline, and evaluations
  • Manage store payroll and schedule to meet labor goals
  • Maintain proper security and partner with Asset Protection to prevent theft and reduce shrink
  • Communicate with District Sales Manager regarding inventory movement and drive inventory goals
  • Follow through on marketing and advertising plans while staying aware of customer trends
  • Keep informed on competition and community events to leverage opportunities
  • Provide extraordinary customer service, assist customers, and manage multiple customers during peak times
  • Protect company assets and financial information by ensuring internal controls and reporting potential fraud risks
