Job Description

Panda Express, founded in Glendale, California in 1983, is the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States with nearly 2,800 locations worldwide. Known for serving exceptional Asian dining experiences, Panda Express has built a strong reputation through its commitment to quality, innovation, and community involvement. As a company dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace, Panda Express not only values great food but also prioritizes the professional growth and well-being of their associates. This dedication is reflected in their numerous training programs, comprehensive benefits, and a culture that embraces family values, teamwork, and diversity. With a global footprint and a close-knit community of employees, Panda Express offers a career path that goes beyond the kitchen, empowering associates to achieve personal and professional success while making a meaningful impact in their communities.

The Store Manager role at Panda Express is a dynamic leadership position that encompasses managing the operation of a single store and driving its success through effective team leadership, financial oversight, and exceptional guest service. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for hiring, training, and directing associates to meet and exceed financial goals while ensuring a welcoming and satisfying customer experience. This hands-on role requires strong organizational skills, adaptability, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment. To support your success, Panda Express provides an 8 or more weeks paid Store Management Leadership Training program designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive. Benefits include free meals while working, a generous compensation package with bonus opportunities, medical, vision, dental, and disability insurance for full-time employees, a company-matched 401K plan, paid time off, paid holidays, discounts on theme parks and gym memberships, and more. Additionally, continuing education assistance and scholarships are available to help you grow your career within the organization.

Panda Express fosters a strong, inclusive culture where diversity and equal opportunity are foundational. The company adheres strictly to all federal, state, and local laws regarding workplace accommodations and non-discrimination practices, further demonstrating their commitment to creating a supportive environment for all employees including those with disabilities. The workplace demands physical endurance and stamina, as well as the ability to work with kitchen equipment and maintain food safety standards. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, prolonged standing, and effective communication skills to manage conflicts and maintain smooth operations. If you are passionate about leadership, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and are excited about driving a successful store operation while making a positive impact, the Store Manager position at Panda Express offers a rewarding career opportunity with growth potential and comprehensive support.
