Job Description

Panda Express is a renowned leader in the American Chinese restaurant industry, celebrated for its commitment to delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences across more than 2,800 locations worldwide. Founded in Glendale, California, in 1983, Panda Express has grown to become the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States. The company’s mission goes beyond food, focusing on building a culture where people are inspired to better their lives through both professional and personal development. This dedication to their associates is evident in their comprehensive training programs, mentorship opportunities, and a supportive community that values its family-like environment.

As a Panda Express Store Manager, you will be at the heart of one of the most successful fast-casual restaurant chains, leading the operation of a single store. This pivotal leadership role requires managing all aspects of store operations, including hiring, directing, and motivating associates to meet financial goals while ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest experiences. The Store Manager is ultimately responsible for the store’s success, overseeing team performance, operational efficiency, and quality service standards.

Panda Express supports its store managers by providing an extensive 8-week or longer paid Store Management Leadership Training program. This hands-on training ensures you are well-prepared to manage a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, equipping you with the skills to lead teams effectively and manage store operations successfully. The role demands flexibility, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for team leadership and guest satisfaction. Compensation for this position ranges from $25.22 to $35.31 per hour, influenced by factors such as experience and location.

In addition to a competitive salary, Panda Express offers a generous benefits package that supports overall well-being and career growth, including medical, vision, and dental insurance for full-time associates, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off, and holiday pay. Associates also enjoy perks such as free meals during shifts, discounts on theme parks and gym memberships, scholarship opportunities, and ongoing career and leadership development. The company also fosters a workplace culture that embraces diversity and inclusion, providing equal employment opportunities without discrimination and reasonable accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

In summary, a Store Manager at Panda Express plays a critical role in sustaining the company’s legacy of excellent service and community impact. The position offers a dynamic and rewarding career path with opportunities for growth in a supportive environment. This is an excellent opportunity for those who thrive in fast-paced environments and are eager to lead with passion and integrity.
