The Store Food Manager role at Cumberland Farms is an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals who have a passion for leadership and excellence in food service. The Store Food Manager supports the Store Manager by overseeing food inventory control, culinary preparation, and meal presentation. Additionally, this role involves guiding the food service team to ensure fast, friendly, and safe service, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for both guests and team members. This position requires a hands-on leader who can manage the flow of food products, uphold sanitation standards, and foster strong relationships with third-party vendors to enhance food safety supervision and training programs. Job Requirements

  • GED or high school diploma
  • Minimum six months experience in retail or food service
  • Ability to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to uphold food safety and sanitation standards
  • Physical capability to perform tasks related to food preparation and service
  • Willingness to work part-time or full-time hours

Job Qualifications

  • GED or high school diploma
  • At least six months of retail or food service experience
  • One year of experience in retail, service, or restaurant preferred
  • Proficient in building rapport with visitors and team members
  • Able to adapt promptly and work harmoniously in a team environment
  • ServSafe certification is helpful but not required

Job Duties

  • Provide a pleasant greeting to visitors to establish a welcoming ambiance
  • Manage the supervision of food inventory control, expenses, elimination of waste, culinary preparation, and meal presentation
  • Adhere to sanitation standards and maintain cleanliness in the food service area
  • Achieve targets for selling food products such as pizza, breakfast items, and drinks
  • Instruct and empower team members to follow safety protocols and guidelines when handling food items
  • Establish connections with third-party vendors to enhance food safety supervision and educational programs
  • Maintain inventory levels and rotate food products in a timely manner
  • Execute guest transactions efficiently, while maintaining a high standard of customer service
  • Help the Store Manager or Guest Service Leader by fulfilling any additional responsibilities that are given
