Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus 1 to 2 years of retail work experience or equivalent education and training
  • Ability to supervise and train for use of equipment and materials in customer service roles
  • Ability to manage functions listed in customer service job descriptions
  • Ability to use or acquire skills necessary to use a computer for store operations
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
  • Open availability
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English
  • Physical ability to perform essential duties including lifting, bending, pushing and pulling
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle
  • Ability to sit for long periods
  • Food service and safety certifications may be required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 2 years of retail work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to supervise and manage customer service and sales functions
  • Ability to use computer systems for reports, inventory and cash control
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in English
  • Food safety management certification may be required

Job Duties

  • Directly supervises the activities of multiple full-time employees including assistant managers and customer service representatives
  • Recruits, hires and trains employees ensuring excellent customer service
  • Manages store cleanliness, stocking, organization and appearance to company standards
  • Schedules employees within company guidelines to maximize customer service and maintain store image
  • Develops positive professional relationships with suppliers and resolves customer complaints
  • Conducts ongoing performance appraisals and training in customer service, safety and cash management
  • Analyzes sales and expenses, budgets and forecasts profit and loss, safeguards store funds
