Job Requirements
- At least 16 years of age
- Ability to remain upright on feet for sustained periods
- Capability to lift up to 35 lbs occasionally and up to 10 lbs frequently including overhead lifting
- Visual acuity sufficient for tasks such as computer use and reading small details
- Availability to work part-time hours averaging 20 per week
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting preferred
- Ability to provide excellent customer service with compassion and attention to detail
- Capability to accurately handle transactions and follow procedures
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new services and technologies at CVS Health
Job Duties
- Providing differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, demonstrating compassion and care in all interactions, and actively identifying and resolving potential service issues
- Focusing on the customer by giving a warm and friendly greeting, maintaining eye contact and offering help locating additional items when needed
- Accurately performing cashier duties including handling cash, checks and credit card transactions while following company policies
- Maintaining the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information and completing inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager
- Supporting opening and closing store activities when needed
- Providing customer support to all departments including photo and beauty, ensuring departments are fully stocked and operational
- Assisting pharmacy personnel when necessary and participating in pharmacy shifts as opportunities for career growth
- Embracing and advocating new CVS services and loyalty programs to help customers on their health journey
